Jason Antignani and Ellen Reilly stand inside the new home of Courtesy Carpet, a 40-year-old business that recently moved to Monroe from Trumbull.

For 40 years, Courtesy Carpet has sold flooring to Trumbull residents and more. They recently moved their location. The business was opened on White Plains Road by a Cohen family member. It is now located in Monroe.

“We sell service here, not just the products,” said Jason Antignani, who married into the Cohen family 14 years ago. “Customers see the same faces because it’s a family owned and operated business.”

The store promotes itself as floor design center and sells, installs and repairs carpet, vinyl, pre-finished wood and ceramic floors. “We’ve been around a long time,” said Ellen Reilly. “People know us.”

When a customer comes into the store, Antignani said they will be asked what kind of floor they are looking for, what kind of foot traffic they expect on the floor and what their decorating style is like.

“We help them determine what’s best for them for materials and wallets,” he said.

The new location is at 450 Monroe Turnpike (Route 111), at the intersection with Elm Street, in the Professional Building.

The business, started by a Cohen family member, had been in the Trumbull Center shopping center on White Plains Road since opening four decades ago.
