The effort to collect items needed by animal shelters and rescue groups impacted by Hurricane Sandy has been extended. Below is a list of items that are specifically needed and can be dropped off at H3 Pet Supply, Stratford or Shelton locations:
• Dog and cat food, dry and wet
• Blankets and towels
• Flashlights and batteries
• Gasoline (including 4-5 gallon containers)
• Propane heaters with gas tank
• Propane cooking stoves (please include fuel can)
• Camping stoves (propane is best)
• Human food for the people serving the animals (non-perishable items)
• Paper towels
• Waterproof dog houses
• Tarps
• Plastic dropcoths
• Shower curtains … anything that can keep the weather out until repairs can be made.
• Rope
• Candles
• Lots of bottled water
Donations can be dropped off at either location listed below during normal operating hours:
Stratford location — 475 Hawley Lane, 203-690-1400. Hours: Monday-Friday 9 a.m.- 7 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Shelton location — 350 Bridgeport Ave., 203-929-7575. Hours: Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday, noon-4 p.m.
